There is a physical limit of how many interviews one can attend. A rule of thumb is that 10 interviews should be more than enough to match. There is also a financial aspect of attending an interview. Each out of city interview makes your budget about $600.00 short. So, if you have more than 20 interviews scheduled, consider canceling some. This won’t only save you time, it will also give a chance to less fortunate applicants that have too few interviews. There isn’t anything wrong with canceling an interview. You may either call or send a polite e-mail asking to cancel previously scheduled interview due to a change in your situation (accepted prematch, etc.).
